CERTAIN CURTAIN / 2019
site-specific installation, paper, mirror foil

A site-specific installation occupies a side of a room with a wall-sized curtain. Paper stripes are hanging from the ceiling in a way as if they were passed through a giant shredder and imitate the blinds that do not fit the size of the room. The floor under the paper stripes is covered with a reflective screen which marks the space of my intervention.

“Curtain” appears in three different ways: we see a curtain belonging to the space, paper stripes that pretend to be a curtain, and a reflected image of them. The name plays with the words “certain” and “curtain”, showing them as a wrong reflection of each other, also pointing to a specific object.
